What is a 3 Season Room?

In simple terms, it’s a sunroom. It’s a home addition that is enclosed with glass. Many 3 season rooms have windows and doors from ceiling-to-floor. Depending on where you live, these rooms can be enjoyed for most months of the year. At American Patio, we can offer you the highest quality available in design, installation service, and energy efficiency. You can add our heavy duty maintenance-free aluminum construction designs with all types of windows and doors – from sliding windows and awning style windows, to swinging doors or sliding glass doors.

What’s the difference between a three season and hybrid room?

Hybrid rooms are upgrades to standard 3-season rooms.

The hybrid room gives you the feel of a room addition with the cost close to a 3-season room. Hybrid window and doors have 3/4″ insulated glass with either clear or Low E with Argon. The hybrid room is our best 3-season room.

We use actual replacement windows and doors to give you extra airtight construction and extra security. These rooms have heavy duty locks and hardware per federal codes for intrusion and maximum security.

How long does it take to build my 3 season room / hybrid from signing the contract to completed installation?

Eight to ten weeks is a normal time-frame for a project. However, this varies from project to project. It all depends on the size of the job, the work that needs to be done, and so many other details are involved. Please note that each city has different waiting periods on permits as well. These things are out of our control and can speed up or slow down the process.

Do I need to obtain a building permit for my sunroom?

It depends on where you live. Each city has their own building codes. If your city requires a building permit, we can help you out during the process.

Can you enclose an existing patio space or does the room have to be a completely new addition?

We can enclose an existing space or build a completely new room addition. This is possible since everything we build is custom designed for your home. You dream it, we build it.

How much do 3 season and hybrid rooms cost?
